Acupuncture
WHAT IT IS
Acupuncture is a therapeutic system rooted in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) that aims to restore balance and regulates physiology in the body. It involves gentle insertion of thin, sterile needles into specific points on the body to stimulate its natural healing process. These points correspond to pathways, or meridians, where energy (known as "Qi") flows.
Modern research reveals that acupuncture has profound effects on the nervous system. When acupuncture needles are placed, they activate sensory nerves in the skin and muscles, sending signals to the brain and spinal cord. This triggers the release of endorphins and other neurochemicals, which help to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation.
Additionally, acupuncture influences the autonomic nervous system by balancing the sympathetic (fight-or-flight) and parasympathetic (rest-and-digest) responses. This helps calm the body, reduce stress and improve overall well-being.
Backed by centuries of tradition and modern research, acupuncture offers a complete, well-rounded approach to addressing the root causes of health concerns, empowering individuals to achieve lasting vitality and balance.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Prior to your treatment we will do an intake to better understand your specific health goals and your health history. During your treatment, you'll relax in our quiet treatment room as needles are placed on carefully chosen points. Most patients describe a deep sense of calm or clarity during or after their treatment. It is not uncommon to fall asleep on the treatment table.
Initial Acupuncture Treatment
(90 Minutes) $175
Your first visit is a comprehensive 90-minute session that lays the foundation for your treatment plan. This allows us to take time for an in-depth consultation to explore your medical history, lifestyle, and current concerns, followed by traditional diagnostic methods like pulse and tongue assessment to identify underlying imbalances. You’ll then receive your first personalized acupuncture treatment, which may include relevant supportive therapies such as cupping, gua sha, or lifestyle recommendations. This extended session allows for a deeper understanding of your health and ensures your care is tailored to your unique needs from the very beginning.
*Recommended for all new patients or those returning after a year or more.
Follow-Up Acupuncture Treatment
(60 Minutes) $125
Follow-up sessions are 60 minutes and focus on continuing the momentum of your care. Each visit includes a brief check-in to assess your progress and a customized acupuncture treatment. Adjunctive therapies — such as cupping, gua sha, or moxibustion — may be included to further support your healing. These sessions reinforce the work we've begun and help maintain lasting results over time.
*Recommended for returning patients engaged in ongoing treatment.
